Sizes that we stock include 4” x 2”, 6” x 2” and 8” x 2 ½” in 14 ga. 40 ksi, in 20, 25 and 30 foot lengths. We also stock 4” x 2 ½” 14 ga. 55 ksi in 15, 20, 25 and 30 foot lengths and 6” x 2 ½” and 8” x 2 ½” 14 ga. 55 ksi in 20, 25 and 30 foot lengths. Both our C and Z purlins are available in plain, and can be delivered directly to your job site if you are within approximately 100 miles of our location. The main difference between these types is that the C sections have flanges that are equal in size. They can not be lapped together, and instead when a continuous span is required they are end butted. By contrast, Zpurlins have one flange broader then the other, which allows the purlin to be rotated so that two sections can be lapped and bolted together, providing increased rigidity and load capacity.
